Marija Apcevska's North Pole recently received Grand Prix at Zinebi International Festival of Documentary and Short Film of Bilbao and Best Short Film at Zagreb Film Festival. Both awards are Oscar-qualifying.
The macedonian-serbian coproduction premiered at Cannes Film Festival in July 2021.
North Pole is the first short film to be proposed by Zinebi as a candidate for the European Film Awards (EFA), coinciding with the 2022 edition.
