Synopsis

Bittu, a fiercely independent young girl with a brilliantly foul tongue, often finds herself in trouble at school for defying authority. But when routine carelessness results in tragedy, the future may single-handedly depend on her.
Piercing in its depiction of a forgotten community who finds itself unable to protect its most vulnerable, and arresting in its vibrant portrayal of Bittu’s emotional world, Bittu introduces us to a formidable young heroine who won’t allow herself to be forgotten.
